TATASKY HD DVR File Structure REVEALED
TATASKY HD+ DVR File can be viewed in PC without voiding warranty
Most of the features in this HD Box are not yet revealed to the user. This HD+ box is capable of doing much than it is currently deployed to. Tatasky has done this in a marketing mind so that their sales of new HD and 4K boxes would continue.
Some of the key features that this box could perform but due to TATASKYs marketing strategies this are not opened still.
- USB Recording. This box is fully capable of usb recording using External HDD or Pen drive which TATASKY has not yet enabled it.
- This has DLNA Certified so it can play videos to other DLNA certified devices in your home network when connected to WiFi
I Have found many people opening the box trying to mount the HDD in Linux to their computers and copying the videos which voids their warranty as well could damage their HD Box. This requires decoding of their algorithms and requires conversion of formats which could take a lot of time depending upon your pc.
Here is a simple work about, when you connect the box using an network cable (RJ45) or using the provided WiFi dongle you can see a device named (0x11-111111111) or may be you have renamed you would find that name in the Windows Networks
So I assume you have the latest Power DVD player which is DLNA Certified. This software is clever enough to show the Contents of the Tatasky box in your computer without cracking your set top box
This is the File Structure in the box. It has 3 root folders namely TUNER, PVR , EPG. on opening tuner you can get the links to live streams and in pvr you could find your recordings and their total recording time too.

So, further you can easily decode this from a live stream or a recorded movie and play it in your computer. publishing that would be out of terms so you can Google it by yourself. I can assure that this box is capable of doing much more than it is currently working. I am not to be penalised this is just a work about which i found. on software updates tatasky could also block this service on their boxes so i am not held responsible.
