I have played through the doom 3 campaign, and thought it was a wonderful way to retell doom. the power of the engine just blew my mind! the physics, movement and especially the lighting, was perfect for doom 3s atmosphere. now, i am thinking if getting quake 4 will be worth it? is it also a rete.... Personally i think quake 4 is the much better game, much more action and more interesting environments, it feels like they learned from their mistakes with the pacing of doom 3 and implented the necessary changes in this one. also i liked seeing all the old enemies and weapons from quake 2 but with newer models.. Doom and quake were mashed up together - looking at quake 4 you can't tell whether you're in a doom game or a quake game. there was biomechanical stuff that belonged in doom . it was dark like doom 3 ..
